Step into a dynamic school-based opportunity utilizing your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist! This full-time contract position offers you the chance to make a genuine impact, supporting K-8 students in a collaborative, supportive setting. The assignment runs from early August to late May, aligning with a convenient four-day school week (Monday through Thursday), providing a rewarding work-life balance. Youll join a progressive environment, supporting a diverse caseload of 60-70 students with varying needs, including consults, groupings, self-contained, and cross-categorical settings.
What You Bring:
- Active Arizona SLP license and Arizona Department of Education certification
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Experience in school settings or working with K-8 caseloads is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to provide FT supervision for an SLPA (if in a supervising role)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services to K-8 students, supporting their communication goals
- Develop, implement, and assess Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with fellow educators, therapists, and parents to promote student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and student records
- Option to serve as the FT SLPA supervisor or take on a traditional SLP role
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
