Job Description

This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position offers an opportunity to provide direct, in-person services in an elementary school setting in Aurora, IL. There are three contract leave coverage assignments available with caseloads that do not exceed 60 students, including those in self-contained life-skills and inclusion programs. The role focuses on supporting children from early childhood through middle school with speech and language needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing individualized speech-language therapy services to students kindergarten through eighth grade
  • Conducting assessments, including play-based evaluations for early childhood programs
  • Collaborating with educators and support staff to develop and implement communication goals
  • Serving students in self-contained life-skills and inclusion settings, ensuring appropriate caseload weighting
  • Maintaining detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with state licensure requirements

Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license with CCC certification required
  • Experience working with school-aged children, including early childhood populations preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to manage caseload efficiently and adapt therapy to meet diverse student needs
  • Commitment to professional development and adherence to ethical standards in the discipline

Locations and assignment dates:

  • Position 1: Elementary K-5, ASAP through 1/12/2026
  • Position 2: Elementary/Middle School K-8 (no travel between buildings), 11/20/2025 to 3/6/2026
  • Position 3: Early Childhood Center Ages 3-5, 1/5/2026 to 4/13/2026
