Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in a high school setting in Aurora, IL. This contract position requires an adept professional to deliver tailored communication solutions to a diverse caseload of 8-12 students within a general education and self-contained special education classroom.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • Professional Educators License (PEL) for IL schools through ISBE
  • Experience with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings
  • Proficient in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and implementing therapy

Location:

  • Aurora, IL

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement appropriate therapy plans based on individual student assessments
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students communication goals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and outcomes
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP development
