An opportunity awaits for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in a K-12 educational setting. This role is designed for a professional dedicated to enhancing the communication abilities of children with mild to moderate speech and language needs. The position offers flexibility in work settings, allowing for both onsite and remote services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy to students requiring speech and language assistance.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs.
  • Collaborate with educational staff during IEP meetings to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes.
  • Engage with students and parents to support communication development and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Current Maine State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in special education.
  • Ability to conduct assessments and interpret evaluation results.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Background check and fingerprinting required.
