Job Description

A California-based K-12 school in San Luis Obispo is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services on-site during a maternity leave contract from October through mid-December 2025, ending at winter break. This part-time role requires approximately 21 hours per week across three days, supporting students from Pre-K through 12th grade.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify student needs
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Deliver direct therapy services tailored to diverse student disabilities and communication disorders
  • Provide indirect services including consultation with teachers and staff
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies

Qualifications:

  • Valid California SLP license or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
  • Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, preferably within educational settings
  • Familiarity with teletherapy services is beneficial but this position is strictly on-site
  • Ability to manage caseloads across a wide range of ages and disability types

Location: San Luis Obispo, CA On-site only within a K-12 school setting
