Job Description

An engaging opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services within a K-8 school setting in Arvada, CO. This contract role runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, offering 32 hours per week onsite. The position focuses on delivering tailored speech and language support to students in grades K-8, enhancing their communication skills and overall academic experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Special Education Teachers to develop effective daily schedules, coordinate testing procedures, and plan annual Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
  • Maintain and provide updated speech and language caseload lists to ensure accurate records within the master Special Education roster.
  • Deliver specially designed instruction in resource rooms, through inclusion, or pullout services, tailored to meet each students unique communication goals.
  • Work in partnership with school staff and families to monitor student progress and ensure compliance with IEP objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience with at-risk or special education students is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Valid license in the state where services are provided is required.
