Make a significant impact supporting students in grades 3 through 12 as a contracted Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant school environment near Arlington Heights, IL. This onsite position offers a flexible schedule of 15-18 hours per week, ideal for professionals seeking meaningful part-time work in educational settings.
As an integral member of the special education team, youll collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to foster communication skills crucial for academic and social success.
Qualifications:
- Current Illinois SLP license
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) highly desired
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong knowledge in assessing and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, individualized therapy services to students in 3rd through 12th grades
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, progress-monitoring, and interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings, team collaborations, and parent consultations
- Maintain accurate records and ongoing documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations as needed
- Collaborate with staff and leverage multidisciplinary resources to support students goals
