Job Description

A rewarding opportunity is available for a certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students in a school setting in Apple Valley, CA. This contract position offers an immediate start for the remainder of the current school year, with the potential to continue into the next school year. The role focuses on providing therapeutic services to children with autism, intellectual delays, specific learning disabilities, and related communication challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer speech and language assessments to identify students communication needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy as necessary.
  • Provide direct therapy sessions, both individual and group-based.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Completion of the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • Experience working within school environments preferred.
  • Ability to engage and motivate children with diverse communication needs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Location: Apple Valley, CA (K-12 School Setting)

Position Details:

  • Contract duration: Remainder of the current school year with the option to continue into the next.
  • Hours: Approximately 37.5 to 40 hours per week.
  • Weekly pay and benefits are offered.
