Job Description

A specialized role is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a focus on pediatrics and healthcare settings, particularly serving high school students with moderate to severe disabilities. This contract position offers a dynamic caseload providing therapeutic services to students in Fullerton and Buena Park, California. The assignment runs from August through December with the potential for extension based on program needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech and language services to high school students exhibiting mild to moderate and moderate to severe disabilities.
  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within educational and healthcare environments.
  • Provide part-time ESY (Extended School Year) support and occasional services at a nonpublic school in Buena Park.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of progress and compliance with professional standards.

Qualifications:

  • Current California Speech-Language Pathology License required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, including those in healthcare and school settings.
  • Ability to manage a caseload involving moderate to severe disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to support both traditional school year and extended year services.

Position Details:

  • Location: Fullerton, CA with some service hours in Buena Park, CA.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
  • Contract duration: August through December with potential extension.
  • Part-time ESY work available.
