Job Description

This full-time position offers an opportunity to work with a diverse caseload serving a middle school student with severe autism and complex behavioral challenges in New Mexico. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in specialty behavior management and experience supporting students with autism and behavior disorders.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid New Mexico license in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) with CCC certification
  • Experience working with students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and severe behavioral needs
  • Expertise in behavior management strategies and interventions
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Location:

  • Middle school setting in Albuquerque, NM
  • Single school assignment with approximately 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic support tailored to the unique needs of a middle school student with severe autism and behavioral challenges
  • Develop and implement individualized behavior management plans and communication strategies
  • Monitor student progress and adapt interventions as needed
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to promote student success
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with licensure and education department guidelines
