A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in elementary school settings. This contract position spans the full school year and is based in Albany, NY. The role involves providing vital support to young students, helping them develop effective communication skills essential for academic success and social interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services within an elementary school setting
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to monitor progress and adjust interventions
- Utilize teletherapy methods to extend service reach and flexibility as needed
- Maintain detailed documentation of sessions, assessments, and progress reports in compliance with educational standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC)
- Experience working in school environments (SLP - School)
- Proficiency in teletherapy techniques (SLP - Teletherapy)
- Strong understanding of childhood communication disorders and evidence-based interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and school staff
