Qualifications and Experience:

• Proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter, with solid understanding of educational terminology and school culture
• Experience providing 1:1 support, particularly in classroom settings with K-12 students
• Ability to work flexibly with shifting schedules as per diem assignments become available
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Certification as a sign language interpreter (or equivalent applicable credential) preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver real-time sign language interpretation for students in academic settings
• Facilitate communication between students, staff, and peers to ensure a fully inclusive environment
• Interpret a variety of communications, including classroom instruction, small group interactions, and extracurricular activities
• Adapt interpretation strategies to individual student needs and classroom requirements
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards of conduct
