Job Description

A dynamic opportunity exists for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in an elementary school setting in Yelm, WA. This contract position is essential for providing specialized communication services to foster the educational development of young learners.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a current CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence).
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting, particularly with elementary students.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Proficient in conducting assessments and delivering tailored therapy sessions.

Location:

Yelm, WA

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for students with speech and language disorders.
  • Develop and implement effective IEPs in collaboration with educational staff.
  • Conduct regular progress evaluations and adjust therapy goals as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and faculty regarding student progress and needs.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive school environment.
