Desired Qualifications:

• Valid EIPA score of 4.0
• Completion of CHSPE or NCLB requirements, including 48 units of higher education study, an AA degree, or a certificate from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID)
• Alternatively, certification at TEC unit level 4 from ACCI
• Proven skills in American Sign Language and experience interpreting in educational settings
• Strong commitment to fostering inclusive, accessible learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver clear, accurate sign language interpretation for students in one-on-one settings throughout the school day
• Facilitate effective communication between students, peers, and staff
• Adapt interpretation style to meet individual student needs and classroom activities
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure consistent access to curriculum and school resources
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards for educational interpreting
