Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Virtual Sign Language Interpreter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for facilitating communication and ensuring that students who are Deaf or hard of hearing receive the support they need to succeed in their educational environment. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and effective sign language interpretation for students in virtual classrooms, meetings, and other educational settings.
• Facilitate clear communication between students, teachers, and other educational staff.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
• Adapt to various educational materials and settings to meet the needs of individual students.
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure effective communication strategies.

Qualifications:

• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher is required.
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and understanding of Deaf culture.
• Experience interpreting in educational settings is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a virtual environment.
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification from a recognized interpreting organization.
• Experience with virtual interpreting platforms and technologies.
