Sign Language Interpreters are needed to support students in a dynamic school environment located in Stockton, California. This opportunity offers six positions, including four to five full-time and two part-time roles, focusing on delivering exceptional communication access services within educational settings.
Responsibilities include interpreting in Special Education (SPED) classrooms for full-time roles, while part-time interpreters will support General Education classrooms. Candidates will work onsite to provide face-to-face interpretation, fostering an inclusive learning environment for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students.
Key qualifications and desired experience:
- EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 4.0 or higher.
- Experience interpreting in educational settings, preferably with mild to moderate SPED students.
- Bilingual Spanish skills are highly advantageous, given the predominantly Spanish-speaking community.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and support staff.
- Commitment to onsite work in Stockton, CA.
