Seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a middle school student at an onsite location in Lillington, NC. This contract position offers a consistent 37.5-hour workweek within a school environment, delivering essential communication support to enhance the educational experience for a student requiring American Sign Language interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clear and accurate sign language interpretation for a middle school student during school hours
• Facilitate effective communication between the student, educators, and peers to support academic success
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while adapting to the dynamic school setting
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Qualifications:

• Active Interpreter certification or a minimum EIPA score of 3.5 (candidates with a slightly lower score will be considered)
• Experience interpreting in educational settings, specifically with middle school students preferred
• Strong command of American Sign Language and cultural competency
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Lillington, NC, maintaining a professional demeanor
