Qualifications:

  • Valid EIPA Score of 4.0 or higher, with a passing score on the written exam
  • RID Certification with a successful written EIPA exam
  • Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong interpretation skills
  • Experience working in educational settings, particularly with K-12 students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Location: Richland, WA

Responsibilities:

  • Provide interpretation services for deaf and hard-of-hearing students in classroom settings
  • Collaborate with educators to support student accessibility and engagement
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development opportunities
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Prepare for and deliver interpretations that accommodate students' communication needs
