Provide expert sign language interpretation services for a K-12 setting in North Bennington, VT, supporting effective communication for diverse student needs. This full-time, contracted opportunity runs from ASAP through June 16th, offering a chance to work closely with kindergarten and 3rd-grade students within a committed educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate and clear sign language interpretation (SLI/ASL) tailored to the needs of young learners.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate inclusion and accessibility.
• Adapt interpreting techniques to support students communication during academic and social activities.
• Maintain professional standards and confidentiality in all interactions.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with experience in educational settings preferred.
• Open to candidates without certification willing to provide high-quality interpretation services.
• Ability to work full-time hours from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Willingness to engage in required training and comply with district onboarding protocols, including fingerprinting and contract agreement.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to interface with educational teams.

Location and Schedule:

• Assignment based in a single school within North Bennington, VT.
• Full-time, Monday to Friday, school day hours.
