Job Description

A specialized opportunity is available for a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to support a high school student in Newport News, VA. This contract position requires a professional who is skilled in facilitating communication for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, ensuring an inclusive and supportive educational environment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Virginia Quality Assurance Screening (VQAS) Level III, or
  • Passing score on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) Written Test with a minimum of 3.5 on the Performance Test, or
  • Any state qualification or national certification recognized by the Virginia Department for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing as equivalent to VQAS Level III.
  • Professional experience in interpreting within school settings.

Location:

Responsibilities:
