This full-time Sign Language Interpreter position offers an opportunity to provide essential communication support in an elementary school setting near Bristol, IL. The role focuses on facilitating clear and effective interactions for students requiring sign language services, contributing to an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa during classroom instruction and school activities.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure all students communication needs are met.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Adapt interpreting techniques based on the context and individual student requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid Interpreter Certification, including BEI, EIPA, or NIC/RID credentials.
• Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) approval for interpreters.
• Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and excellent communication skills.
• Experience working in educational settings is preferred.

Location and Schedule:
