Details:
-32.5 hours a week
-Onsite
-K-12th grade openings
-26/27 school year
Responsibilities:
-Provide real-time interpretation between spoken English and American Sign Language (ASL) in classrooms, assemblies, meetings, and school-related events.
-Support communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers.
-Interpret a variety of subject matter accurately, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
-Prepare for assignments by reviewing materials and consulting with staff as needed.
-Collaborate with educational teams to support student learning and inclusion.
-Adapt signing styles to meet the communication needs and preferences of students.
-Maintain accurate service logs and comply with district policies and procedures.
Job Qualifications:
Fluency in American Sign Language and English.
EIPA score of 4.0 required
Completion of an accredited interpreter training program (associates or bachelors degree preferred).
Experience interpreting in educational settings is a plus.
Authorized to work in the US
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
