This full-time contract opportunity is available for the entire 2026-2027 school year, working exclusively in-person with an elementary student. Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current EIPA score of 4.0 or higher (required)
  • Demonstrated experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, ideally in an educational or school-based setting
  • Ability to commit to a full-time, school-year schedule
  • Strong communication skills and professionalism when collaborating with educators and families
  • Adept at adjusting interpretation approaches to suit a young learners needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated, in-person sign language interpretation for one elementary-aged student throughout the academic day
  • Foster an accessible, supportive classroom and school experience
  • Adapt communication and interpretation strategies to accommodate the students learning style and changing classroom activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to help maximize student inclusion and success
  • Maintain professionalism and adhere to all confidentiality standards within the educational setting
