A contract position is available for a Sign Language Interpreter to support high school students during the current school year in La Vista, NE. This role requires proficient sign language interpretation skills to facilitate effective communication between students with hearing impairments and their educators, ensuring an inclusive and accessible learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and clear sign language interpretation services in a high school setting.
• Collaborate with teachers, students, and staff to support academic success for students with hearing disabilities.
• Attend and participate in meetings, including IEP (Individualized Education Program) sessions as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Adapt communication methods to individual student needs and classroom situations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certification or proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings.
• Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and its application in a classroom environment.
• Previous experience working with high school-aged students preferred.
