A travel opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support a school located in Dobson, NC. This role involves providing high-quality interpreting services for educational settings, ensuring effective communication and accessibility for students requiring sign language support.
Key Qualifications:
- Must hold a current Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.0 or higher.
- Experience working with school-aged students preferred.
- Ability to handle a caseload involving one student.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with educators and students.
Job Details:
- Location: Dobson, NC (travel assignment)
- Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Caseload: 1 student
- Setting: School environment providing educational sign language interpreting
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate clear and accurate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their peers, teachers, and school staff.
- Interpret lessons, instructions, and school events in an educational setting.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive learning experiences.
