  • Active GA Sign Language Interpreter license or EIPA score of 3.5 or above
  • Specialization in educational environments preferred
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Ability to accurately interpret spoken language to ASL and vice versa
  • Experience working with students in grades K-12
  • Strong professional ethics, confidentiality, and reliability
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver real-time interpreting services in classrooms, meetings, and school activities
  • Assist students in bridging communication with teachers and peers
  • Interpret a variety of academic subjects and related conversations
  • Collaborate with education teams and follow Individualized Education Program (IEP) requirements
  • Adapt interpreting style to meet each student's needs
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards
