Key Qualifications:

• Current EIPA rating of 3.5 or higher, valid in Georgia
• Active GAPSC certification
• Experience providing sign language interpretation in educational settings
• Familiarity with K-12 curriculum and classroom dynamics
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Adaptable, organized, and proactive approach

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver real-time sign language interpretation for students, staff, and parents across a variety of classroom and school settings
• Support individualized education plans (IEPs) through accurate and confidential interpretation
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure seamless communication access for students at all grade levels
• Prepare for classroom content in advance to ensure effective interpretation
• Serve as a source of support and encouragement for students utilizing sign language
