Key Qualifications:

• Possess one or more of the following: Oklahoma Quality Assurance Screening Test (QAST), Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), or Training and Assessment Systems for K-12 Educational Interpreters (TASK 12)
• Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language with a track record of educational interpreting
• Experience in a school setting, ideally at the high school level, preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide clear, effective sign language interpretation during all classroom lessons and activities for one high school student
• Foster a supportive, accessible classroom atmosphere in alignment with educational goals
• Work closely with educators to prepare, understand lesson content, and adapt to the students needs
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all educational and ethical standards for interpreters
