An immediate opening is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support K-12 students within a school setting in Arvada, CO. This full-time contract position offers a caseload primarily consisting of 1:1 student support with opportunities to work onsite and remotely. The role is set to begin ASAP and continues through May 27, 2026, providing stability and meaningful work within a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clear and effective sign language interpretation for K-12 students, facilitating access to curriculum and communication.
- Work closely with students during 1:1 sessions to support individualized learning needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure consistent and supportive communication.
- Manage a caseload that may include remote Pre-K students, utilizing virtual platforms as required.
- Adhere to all applicable confidentiality and professional standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) certification/license valid in Colorado.
- Approved by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE).
- Achieved an Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5 or higher and/or holds the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification.
- Prior experience with remote Pre-K services is preferred.
- Proven ability to interpret accurately and sensitively in educational settings.
Location: Arvada, Colorado
Schedule: Full time, 35 hours per week, onsite and virtual availability
Contract Duration: Immediate start through May 27, 2026
