Job Description

Embark on a dynamic contract opportunity in the Washington DC area, supporting students and staff as a dedicated school psychologist. This role offers a fulfilling blend of assessment and consultation work within a collaborative educational environmentprimarily serving one elementary and one middle school. Working full-time (37.5 hours per week), your hours will be 8:00 a.m.3:30 p.m., providing structure while empowering you to make a significant impact each day.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current VA DOE Certification and valid Virginia Psychologist License (required)
  • Experience in assessment, consultation, and FBA/BIP development preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity supporting MTSS and occasional collaboration with school social workers for counseling services
  • Ability to begin time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including a VA Dept. of Social Services background check and a TB test

Role Highlights:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments and participate in FBA/BIP development
  • Provide consultation services to school teams, parents, and staff
  • Support the MTSS process as needed across both assigned campuses
  • Work in partnership with special education colleagues; no academic achievement testing required
  • Enjoy the option for a 4/1 hybrid schedule (up to 1 remote day weekly, following on-site orientation)
