Job Description

An elementary school in Westmont, IL, is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support students in grades PreK through 2nd. This onsite, contract position offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week during the school year. The role focuses on delivering specialized psychological services to young learners, ensuring their social, emotional, and academic needs are met in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students in PreK through 2nd grade
  • Provide counseling and behavioral support services to students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Implement interventions and monitor student progress
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student well-being and academic success

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Illinois School Psychologist certification/licensure
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children, specifically PreK to 2nd grade
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies relevant to early childhood education
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, families, and support staff
