Job Description

A school psychologist position is available in West Hartford, CT, serving a K-12 school environment with a focus on PreK and Kindergarten students. This role offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week across 5 days, providing support and psychological services to early learners in a contract capacity for the current school year (CSY).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for PreK and Kindergarten students
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to design and implement intervention strategies
  • Provide counseling and behavioral support tailored to young learners
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to student success plans
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with school policies and state regulations

Qualifications:

  • Valid Connecticut School Psychologist License is required
  • Experience working within K-12 educational settings, preferably with early childhood age groups
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and intervention skills related to school psychology
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities for working with diverse teams and families
