Job Description

Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity as a School Psychologist serving students in a supportive educational environment near Tecumseh, KS. This full-time role spans from August 2026 through May 2027 and offers flexibility in both caseload and setting. While grade levels may vary, preference is given to professionals confident in high school re-evaluations, as this is the districts primary area of need. The position welcomes candidates interested in either an in-person model or a hybrid schedulethree days on-site complemented by two days of virtual work each week.

Ideal background and skills:

  • Active Kansas School Psychologist license (required)
  • Demonstrated experience supporting school-aged children, particularly high school students, with assessments and re-evaluations
  • Familiarity with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), IEP development, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact empathetically with students, staff, and families
  • Proficiency in both direct (on-site) and remote service delivery
  • Comfort navigating virtual platforms and documentation tools

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct and interpret psychoeducational assessments, focusing on high school re-evaluations
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student learning and well-being
  • Develop and report findings for eligibility, services, and accommodations under special education law
  • Serve as a consultant and advocate for evidence-based strategies within the school community
  • Participate in eligibility meetings, team planning, and intervention design
