Discover a rewarding opportunity working as a School Psychologist in the vibrant Virginia Beach area. This full-time, on-site contract position (Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week) will place you at the heart of a supportive educational community, collaborating directly with students, teachers, and staff throughout the school year. The assignment is set to begin on August 31, 2026, and continue through June 15, 2027. The exact campus or caseload details will be confirmed prior to your start date, with the age range and number of schools assigned to be determined.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Virginia Department of Education (DOE) licensure required
- Active license as a School Psychologist in the state of Virginia
- In-person onlythis role does not accommodate remote or hybrid schedules
- Experience in collaborative, school-based environments preferred
- Strong interpersonal, assessment, and communication skills
What Youll Do:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for students across a diverse age group
- Interpret data and provide actionable recommendations to teachers and families
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Serve as a resource for behavioral intervention strategies within the school setting
- Offer crisis intervention and consultative support when needed
