Job Description

Located in Suffolk, VA, this role offers an exciting opportunity for professionals skilled in providing psychological services within a K-12 educational environment. The position is set to start ASAP and will continue through June 6, 2025, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, typically from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic examinations for students.
  • Develop and recommend interventions to support student learning and emotional well-being.
  • Provide individual or group therapy tailored to student needs.
  • Assist in the identification and placement processes for students requiring special education services.
  • Implement behavior modification techniques as needed.
  • Maintain open communication with parents, teachers, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
  • Document and write progress reports to track student development.

Qualifications:

  • Valid VA School Psychologist License.
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students.
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
