Qualifications:

  • Current Michigan School Psychologist Certificate required
  • Experience in school settings as a School Psychologist preferred
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
  • Familiarity with MTSS, Functional Behavioral Assessment, and Positive Behavior Support Plans

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' attention, adaptive skills, behavioral needs, autism spectrum concerns, and related areas
  • Administer cognitive and developmental testing for both initial evaluations and re-evaluations
  • Collaborate with other evaluation team members during assessment processes
  • Work closely with the MTSS team to help determine when special education referrals are appropriate
  • Lead and participate in Functional Behavioral Assessments and the development of Positive Behavior Support Plans
  • Guide initial evaluation meetings and some re-evaluation meetings with professionalism and insight
  • Take part in Manifestation Determination Review meetings as needed
