Job Description

A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to support K-12 students in a dynamic educational environment in Spotsylvania, VA. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students K-12 to identify learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
  • Provide counseling and support services to help students improve academic performance and address behavioral challenges.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to promote a positive school climate and address student concerns proactively.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential records of evaluations, interventions, and progress reports in accordance with school and legal standards.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience working with a diverse K-12 student population.
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills with the ability to interpret psychological testing results accurately.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with school staff, students, and families.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
