Step into a meaningful, contract-based opportunity supporting young learners as a School Psychologist focusing on early intervention and school readiness. Based near South Bend, IN, this position runs from August 14, 2026, through June 4, 2027, and is designed for an on-site professional passionate about making a significant impact in Pre-K educational environments.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Current licensure/certification as a School Psychologist
• Experience working with Pre-K or early childhood populations
• Familiarity with delivering behavioral interventions and conducting comprehensive evaluations
• Strong skills in multidisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to engage families and caregivers in the intervention and transition process
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing progress monitoring

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide behavioral intervention services for Pre-K students as part of the First Step Transition program
• Conduct school readiness and social-emotional assessments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (OT, PT, SLP, and others)
• Deliver classroom consultation and coaching to support positive behaviors
• Engage with families to facilitate smooth transitions for incoming students
• Lead or participate in preschool evaluations, including two-day assessments involving parents and multidisciplinary staff
• Maintain regular documentation and communication, ensuring each students progress is closely tracked
• Support a typical caseload of about 70 students, primarily within a specialized preschool setting
