Step into a rewarding school-based role supporting students growth and development in an educational setting near Norfolk, VA. This contract opportunity runs from late August 2026 through early July 2027, with the chance to make a profound difference for a diverse student population across multiple school sites.

In this position, youll work with 2-3 schools, managing a caseload of approximately 40-50 students. Your expertise in psychological assessment and collaborative consultation will be invaluable in helping students navigate academic and social challenges. Youll play an integral part in the team, providing insights that help shape interventions and accommodations in support of each student's unique needs.

What You'll Need:

• Active and valid School Psychologist credential in Virginia (VA Psych required)
• Experience with diagnostic evaluations and interpretation of intellectual, social, and/or emotional development
• Background in preparing and maintaining student records, files, and documentation
• Strong communication skills for conducting consultations with teachers, administrators, and families
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to ethical guidelines and maintaining student confidentiality

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations
• Assess students intellectual, emotional, and social development
• Provide consultation to school staff and families regarding assessment findings
• Maintain accurate and timely records required for student files
• Participate in team meetings to support intervention planning
• Support students with a variety of needs and disabilities
