Make a meaningful impact supporting students growth and wellbeing while working onsite in a school setting near Newtown, CT. This contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year is ideal for a dedicated School Psychologist interested in collaborating with educators, families, and support teams.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut Educator Certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience within school environments, providing assessment and consultation services
- Strong skills in administering and interpreting psychoeducational evaluations
- Ability to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and provide evidence-based interventions
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities working with diverse students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students needs and strengths
- Support the development and implementation of student interventions and behavioral plans
- Collaborate with special education and general education teams to enhance student outcomes
- Participate in eligibility, IEP, and other intervention meetings
- Engage with families to share results, recommendations, and resources
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed within the school setting
- Maintain thorough documentation and uphold best practices in student confidentiality
