Job Description

A school psychologist position is open for a full-time role working with middle school students in grades 6-12. This contract assignment spans the academic year, with a start date as soon as possible and concluding on June 12, 2026. The work will be conducted on-site at a K-12 school located in Newark, Delaware.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for middle school students.
  • Provide counseling and intervention services to support student mental health and academic success.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Assist with crisis intervention and help create safe, supportive learning environments.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to school policies and state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Delaware licensure as a School Psychologist is required; please have documentation ready for submission.
  • Previous experience working in school settings, especially with middle school populations, is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of psychological testing, educational assessments, and intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families.
  • Ability to work on-site full-time, supporting 37.5 hours per week.
