Qualifications:
- Masters degree in School Psychology or related field required
- Valid Louisiana school psychologist license
- Experience providing psychological services in elementary, middle, or high school settings
- Strong understanding of assessments, intervention strategies, and special education eligibility
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic school environment
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for referred students
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Deliver direct and indirect services to support students academic, social, and emotional development
- Assist in crisis intervention and provide counseling as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Maintain thorough documentation of all services and assessments performed
- Offer guidance on behavioral strategies and interventions to staff and parents
- Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations regarding student privacy and special education services
