Step into an impactful role supporting middle school students as a School Psychologist on a contract basis starting July 20, 2026, through May 26, 2027. This opportunity is based at a single middle school with a student population of under 700 in Tempe, AZ. The environment is highly collaborative, offering robust mentorship and onboardingperfect for professionals who thrive in supportive, team-driven settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona School Psychologist certification
- Experience working within a school environment, particularly with middle school-aged students
- Strong skills in conducting psychoeducational re-evaluations (approximately 30 anticipated)
- Familiarity with exceptional student services and differentiated student support
- Comfortable engaging in collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams
Role Highlights:
- Manage a caseload focused predominantly on re-evaluations with very few initial referrals
- Support about 15% of the student body receiving exceptional student services
- Contribute your expertise at a single campus for focused and impactful work
- Be fully supported on day one with comprehensive guidebooks and a scheduled lead psych orientation
- Participate in weekly group supervision for ongoing guidance, plus monthly department meetings for continual professional growth and peer connection
- Work alongside a collaborative group of 18 district psychologists who share resources, strategies, and encouragement
