Job Description

Located near Rockford, IL, youll support schools around the Machesney Park area and engage with a diverse student population.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification/license for Illinois
  • Previous experience working with K-8 students preferred
  • Ability to conduct assessments, interpret results, and develop effective intervention strategies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with families, teachers, and staff
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and special education laws

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations for students referred for academic, behavioral, or social-emotional concerns
  • Consult with educators and parents regarding appropriate interventions and supports within and beyond the classroom
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing expertise and recommendations
  • Develop and implement behavior management plans and strategies for individuals or groups
  • Support crisis intervention efforts and offer counseling as needed
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with school policies and state/federal regulations
