Step into a pivotal role supporting elementary learners as a School Psychologist in the Greater Cincinnati area. This full-time, contract opportunity runs from August 2026 through May 2027, assigning you to an elementary school (grades K-4) with a caseload of approximately 55 initial and reevaluation cases. You'll play a crucial part in providing psychological services, collaborating with staff, and ensuring each students academic, social, and emotional growth.
What you'll bring:
- Valid School Psychologist license (Ohio or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in K-4 settings preferred
- Expertise in conducting evaluations and re-evaluations
- Familiarity with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and IEP processes
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators and families
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners through evidence-based practices
Key responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret psychological assessments to identify strengths and needs
- Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of IEPs
- Provide direct and consultative support for students behavioral, social, and academic challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create effective learning environments
- Offer crisis intervention and responsive counseling as needed
- Document evaluations, services, and progress in compliance with district policies
