Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a School Psychologist for the upcoming academic year. Youll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact as you work with elementary-aged children, collaborating with educators and families to promote student success and well-being. The school year runs from September 8, 2026, to approximately June 24, 2027, with students on campus from 9:15 am to 3:45 pm. Your working hours will typically be 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, offering you a full-time schedule while still ensuring work-life balance.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid NY School Psychologist license required
- Experience in providing psychological assessments, consultations, and interventions in an educational setting
- Demonstrated ability to work with elementary-aged students
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within school teams
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs), Response to Intervention (RTI), and student support services
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and educational evaluations and interpret results for parents and staff
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop effective support strategies for students
- Deliver counseling, crisis intervention, and consultative services to students and staff
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design and implement interventions that address academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to ethical and legal standards as outlined by state and national guidelines
