Job Description

A School Psychologist position is available for the 20252026 academic year in a K-12 school setting located in Newberry, SC. This contract role requires a licensed South Carolina School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services, including assessments, evaluations, case management, and support for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) across two schools within the district.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Manage caseload effectively while collaborating with educators and families
  • Develop and implement appropriate intervention strategies and IEPs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation following district and state guidelines

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid South Carolina School Psychologist license required
  • Experience working within K-12 educational settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and special education laws
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a hybrid (remote and onsite) schedule

Location and Schedule:

  • Position based in Newberry, SC
  • 35 hours per week with a hybrid work model
  • Assigned to one primary school but serving students across two schools
