Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active School Psychologist certification in Georgia (or eligibility to obtain)
- Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or related field
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments
- Familiarity with developing and interpreting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong background in behavioral interventions and crisis response
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive evaluations using a variety of assessment tools to identify students strengths and challenges
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop IEPs and recommend appropriate interventions
- Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student behavior and learning strategies
- Deliver individual and group counseling to address social, emotional, and academic concerns
- Participate in Response to Intervention (RTI) processes and behavioral planning
- Support crisis prevention and intervention efforts within the school community
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation and adhere to all ethical and legal standards
