Job Description

A contract position is available for a School Psychologist at an elementary school located in Lakewood, NJ. This temporary role is designed to cover a leave period, offering an opportunity to provide vital psychological services to support students educational and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide counseling and intervention strategies to support student development
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expert recommendations
  • Monitor student progress and adjust support plans accordingly
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and guidelines related to student services

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working in elementary school settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of psychological assessment tools and intervention methods
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a school team environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with special education laws and regulations

Contract Duration: Leave Replacement
