Job Description

A full-time School Psychologist position is available to provide specialized psychological services to K-12 students in a correctional facility setting. This role requires working onsite in Lacey, WA, supporting incarcerated youth by conducting assessments, evaluations, and re-evaluations, as well as collaborating with IEP teams to develop individualized education plans. The ideal candidate must be prepared to pass a stringent background check due to the sensitive environment and demonstrate experience or willingness to work with this unique student population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments, evaluations, and re-evaluations for students within the correctional facility
  • Collaborate closely with IEP teams to design and implement appropriate support plans
  • Provide ongoing support and counseling to students exhibiting diverse psychological needs
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with state and local education regulations
  • Participate in meetings with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State School Psychologist License
  • Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in correctional or alternative education settings
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills adapted to diverse student populations
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practices
